Mio Alpha is present in the form of watches so it can be used on your wrist. This device comes with “cell-electro optical” sensor and a pair of lights.

The light will turn on and illuminate the bottom of the wrist to monitor your blood volume. Thus the cell-electro optical sensor is going to work to calculate your heart rate from the input sent by the light.

The results obtained by Mio Alpha can be sent directly to your smartphone via Bluetooth 4.0 connection.

This device is able to monitor your heart rate continuously and also can be used for you every day activities (sports or work). Unfortunately Mio Alpha is not equipped with GPS.
