Canonical as the main Ubuntu developer is very committed to bring their operating system to smartphones, tablets, and even to the television.
As a first step, Canonical has released officially Ubuntu 12:10 for Google
Nexus 7. This OS is claimed brings a different flavor than
Android.
Although both are made from the same platform, but Ubuntu emphasizes the desktop computer functions in a tablet. This OS also provides so many cool applications that can be downloaded for free.
But to install Ubuntu 12:10 on Nexus 7, you must first open the bootloader “lock” on your tablet. After that, you can start to install the OS in a few simple steps.
