Apple's decision to retire iPad 3 has raised big questions. However, with the most recent benchmark test results, we can see the reason.
A benchmark test with Geekbench application shows that iPad 4 is better than iPad 3. Even when compared with iPhone 5, which use the same Apple A6X chip, iPad 4 still be the winner.
In these tests, iPad 4 has recorded 1757 points, while iPhone 5 is 1571 points and iPad 3 which uses Apple A5X chips only able to reach 791 points. When compared directly, the Apple A6X ability is twice higher than A5X.
Apple A6X Chip on iPad 4 is equipped with 1.4GHz dual core processor with quad-core GPU that can handle high-resolution screen.
