Asus will enliven Windows 8 notebook competition with VivoBook X202.

Asus VivoBook X202 offers a 11.6-inch screen HD LED backlight with 1366x768 resolutions, multitouch capacitive touchscreen, 1.8GHz Intel Core i3-3217U, 4GB RAM, Intel GMA HD graphics card, and 500GB HDD.

This brand new 1.3 pounds Asus Windows 8 notebook also features 2 second resume, automated backup and recovery, 25 percent longer battery life, and of course Windows 8 Home Premium 64-bit.

Asus plans to officially announce VivoBook X202 on 23 October. While the price is set on U.S. $ 599.
