In terms of packaging, 2012 Mac Mini still maintains the previous Mac Mini packaging. But for the specs, the new Mac Mini now comes in two variants, a standard version and Mac Mini server version.

For the standard version, 2012 Mac Mini comes with 2.5GHz Intel Core i5 Ivy Bridge, 4GB RAM and 500GB hard disk. As for the server version comes with 2.3 Ghz Intel Core i7 Ivy Bridge processor, 4GB RAM, and 1TB dual hard disk.

If you need more, Apple also provides an option to expand the memory up to 16GB RAM, and you can also add a 256GB SSD for better performance.

Apple also provide some connectivity ports starting from USB 3.0 ports, card reader, HDMI, Thunderbolt, Firewire, and Gigabit Ethernet. And if you still need an optical disk drive for CDs or DVDs, Apple also provides additional accessories like the Apple USB Super Drive which is sold separately for U.S. $ 79.

2012 Mac Mini standard version will be priced at U.S. $ 599 and for the server version is priced at U.S. $ 999.
