Mitsubishi will introduce their newest crossover, the Outlander PHEV in Paris Motor Show 2012.This brand new Mitsubishi crossover is using a base from PX-MiEV II Concept and uses a 2.0-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine combined with two electric motors placed in the rear and front wheel powered with 12kWh lithium-ion battery. This electric motor is able to produce 81 hp and 195 Nm of torque.
Both electric motors are able to make this crossover to travel as far as 55 kilometers, while the fuel consumption is1.6 liters for up to 100 km.Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV also brings 3 driving modes such as Pure electric, Series (gasoline engine with electric motors for the early start) and Parallel (electric motor and gasoline engine work together).
Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV will be available on Japan automotive market in early 2013 and later also will be launched in Europe and United States.
