In addition to Nikon 1 J2, Nikon also has introduced their newest superzoom camera which is intended for travelers, the Coolpix W610 that uses AA batteries as its power source.Usually a compact camera that is powered by AA battery is very identical to the entry-class cameras with minimal feature. But not with Nikon Coolpix W610.
This new Nikon camera has been equipped with CMOS BSI (backside illuminated) sensor with ability to produce 16 megapixel images. For video, the camera also supports Full-HD 1080p video recording.
Nikon Coolpix W610 also brings 25mm-350mm lens with 14x optical zoom, 3-inch LCD screen, Optical VR Image Stabilization, various scene modes (Portrait, Landscape, Night Portrait, Night landscape, Close-up and Backlighting), and Nikon's Easy Auto Mode.
