After updating the CSC (Compact System Camera) on GF-series line, Panasonic has announced their newest camera, the Lumix DMC-LX7.This brand new Panasonic camera is equipped with cutting-edge features with some improvements to make it better than its predecessor, Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX5.
Come in retro in packaging, Lumix DMC-LX7is equipped with 12.7 megapixel 1/1.7 inch CMOS sensor. Whit this sensor, the camera can produce images with a wider dynamic range and the results are sharp and rich in color.
The sensor is also supported with Venus Engine FHD VII processor to speed up the image processing. While the NR (Noise Reduction) intelligent technology will optimize the images with minimal noise at high resolution.For the lens, Panasonic present 24mm LEICA DC VARIO-SUMMILUX wide lens with 3.8x optical zoom and f/1.4 aperture.
To produce optimum image, Leica also has complemented this lens with Nano Surface Coating technology to minimize light reflection and internal ND filter to reduce the shutter speed when the lighting conditions are too bright. While the swivel mechanism on the lens ring will set the aperture diaphragm.
Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX7 also has been equipped with 3 inch TFT LCD screen, 11 fps continuous shoot with full resolution, mechanical shutter, 5 fps with a continuous Auto Focus (AF), Full HD 1080p video resolution, zoom, and Dolby Stereo sound.
In addition, a series of smart features are also present on this camera like a focus lever, rear dial to control the source of incoming light, Level Gauge to detect horizontal and vertical angles, and POWER OIS to avoid blur caused by hand shake.
Several shooting options are also available in this camera. In addition to manual mode, Lumix DMC-LX7 also provides several features like Intelligent Auto (iA), AF Tracking, Intelligent D-range Control, Intelligent Scene Selector, Face Recognition, Intelligent ISO Control, Intelligent HDR (High Dynamic Range), Intelligent Handheld Night Shot, Motion Deblur modes, and iA Plus mode to adjust exposure compensation.And for those of you who like to be creative, there are several attractive creative feature that you can use starting from soft focus effect, Monochrome Dynamic, Impressive Art, One Point Color, Cross Process, Low Key, Toy Effect, Star Filter, Expressive, Retro, High Key, Sepia, Hi Dynamic, Miniature Effect, Radial defocus, and Smooth defocus.
Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX7 will be available in 2 color choices, black and white. Unfortunately, Panasonic has not provide information about when this camera will be available on the market. Hopefully soon.
