For that reason, students from John Hopkins University are developing a tool to detect Anemia, the HemoGlobe. This device can be connected to a phone to detect the blood shortage.

The technology itself is not something new but HemoGlobe come with a small size and cheap price (about US$ 20). So no wonder this anemia detector was created to be used in developing countries.

HemoGlobeTo use it, you nee to connect the HemoGlobe to your phone then put your finger on the sensor to detect the amount of your blood. The results can be seen directly from the screen even the results also will be sent via SMS to a specific number, like hospitals and others.
