Renault ZOE has managed to break the world record as the farthest electric car for 1,618 km in 24 hours in Normansia Abuvoye, France.Renault ZOE was succeeded completing 363 laps and broke the previous record (1,280 km in 24 hours). The car was driven by 15 drivers (Abuvoye, Cleon, Sandouville, Flins, Douai and Grand Couronne). They driving the car alternately around the circuit and the possibilities were charging when needed.
The key success lies on an innovative charging system called Chameleon Charger. This system makes ZOE to be compatible with various types of electrical plugs and various voltage levels.Chameleon Charger has a quick charge system at 43 kW that can fill up to 80 percent of battery capacity in less than 30 minutes.
