In CES 2012, Intel has introduced Atom Medfield z2640 a processor for smartphone. In this event, Intel also claimed that even Medfield Z2640 is a single core processor, but this processor is more powerful than existing dual core processor.This brand new Intel processor has a battery that can last for 14 hours standby, 8 hours when making 3G voice calls, 5 hours while browsing the internet with 3G networks, and audio playback.
Intel Atom Z2640 Medfield is already support 4.3-inch screen, and smartphone with 8 MP camera, 1080 HD video playback, and NFC. But unfortunately, for now this processor is only for Android smartphone alone.
Not only that, other cool feature offered by Intel Medfield Z2640 is im360 app that allow us to watch 1080 HD video in a full 360 degrees without making us have to move the phone.
